Rev XP - 154" - 146" - 163"

Installation only takes about 5 mins on the Rev XP platform.  This is a picture of a 154" track, you can see there is plenty of room on either the 146" track or 163" track as well and there are no compatibility issues.  Just drill your holes and bolt it down.

This is the write-up for the install of a PTR and ski straps on a 2014 Skidoo Summit on the XP chassis.

Tools needed are as follows:

7/16” socket wrench and crescent wrench

15mm socket wrench and crescent wrench

¼” carbide drill bit

Electric drill

Allen wrench set

Sharpie

Measuring tape

Blue Loctite

First, if you have any Linq accessories attached, remove those with the standard Torx bit. Now you’ve got a clean slate to install.

Decide where you want the rack located on the tunnel. I chose closer to the seat to minimize torque/leverage on the tunnel since I carry LOOONG powder skis most of the time and end up on whooped out roads frequently. Slightly higher cross bar goes to the back on the Patrol Rack.

For the XP tunnel, the rack is just barely wider than the tunnel, so center it using a tape measure and mark your drill points on  the tunnel using a sharpie. The tunnel allows you to use a variety of pre-drilled holes in the rack; I chose the interior holes, furthest from each other.

With your electric drill, attach the ¼” carbide tipped bit and punch your 4 bolt holes into the tunnel.

With the included hardware, fasten the rack to the tunnel. You’ll need a 7/16” socket wrench and crescent wrench for this. It’s easiest to fasten hardware with the locking nut on top of the tunnel, seated atop the smaller of the washers. The larger washer is under the tunnel between the bolt head and the tunnel. Easy.

  • If you’re OCD, put a dab of blue loctite under each nut prior to tightening.

  • If you’re concerned about the bolts potentially tearing bags, gear, etc. that fall through the rack’s cross supports, you can cap them with rubber thread caps and have a 100% smooth, snag free surface.

Now that the rack is fastened, grab your allen key set and 15mm socket and crescent, and the 7/16” socket/crescent.

Hit each thread with a little blue loctite and torque down.

Loop your ratcheting straps on and it’s time to send ‘er
